      The Truth of being is harmonious and the reality is harmony. There is no reality in discord, sickness, or death; they are illusions, error, the belief of falsehoods that vanish when the truth is realized.

      Fear is from ignorance and from false beliefs and false statements, or the absence of Truth and understanding. Its influ­ence is as certain and positive on mortal mind, or materiality, even though not realized, as when one is groping alone in abso­lute darkness in a very strange place. Thus fear insensible and sensible must have its antidote in Truth and understanding to save materiality from the sufferings of discord and inharmony, from sickness, sin and death.  Mary Baker Eddy

METAPHYSICAL HEALING – 1 

      God is Principle, Soul, Spirit, Life. There is no other life or intelligence. No discord or inharmony exists therein, thereby, or emanates therefrom. Immortal man is the offspring of God, Soul, of immortality, and not of mortality nor mortal man. He is spiritual; and the image or likeness of God. Nothing is true or real but God and His idea, which is shadowed forth in the eternal existence, or spirituality, of all existence, of all God’s crea­tion. Mortal things are but the semblance of the true idea of God and, therefore, nothing in themselves. God, Spirit, Soul, cannot suffer. Mortal body or matter cannot suffer or make its own conditions, nor cause pain in Spirit or Soul. Life is not in the mortal body, nor is it in anything mortal; it is independent of, above and around all things that seem to have life, and any life they have is through the influence of Soul, intelligence, Spirit, Life. Life is everlasting. It does not lead to death, for there is no death in reality, and Life cannot be destroyed. Error (or a belief in mortal mind of good and evil) only leads to suffering, sickness and death. Error, belief of mortal mind, of counterfeit mind, makes all of its own diseases and sufferings. Neither it nor they have any real existence, no more than the supposed fact communicated by a falsehood, and they should disappear when the Truth is uttered and its proofs presented as readily in one case as the other.  Mary Baker Eddy

      Material man and all material things are but mortality, in or of themselves without life. They are the passing reflection of the true idea of God. They impart a feeble and imperfect idea of the true and perfect spiritual idea of God. They are animate only through reflected Life. Like reflections in the mirror, they only have action or motion in answer to the volition of their Princi­ple, and their Principle is the idea of God, and the substance from whence comes this idea or true reflection is God. Thus the human body, mortal matter, is nothing, the very essence of noth­ing, having neither substance, life or intelligence. Substance is without change or decay. Life and intelligence are not embraced within mortal flesh.  Mary Baker Eddy
