Demand of yourself to know what is right. Mary Baker Eddy (Carpenter, Gilbert, Fragments Gathered From Unpublished Items Ascribed to Mary Baker Eddy. p.76)
DAILY TEST – Always test as to whether a belief of a law of malicious animal magnetism or the law of Love is working, by seeing if the thoughts and action unify or divide the workers in the field – ourselves and others. Mary Baker Eddy (Oakes, Richard, Course In Divinity and General Collectanea, p.284)
METAPHYSICAL HEALING – 3
The Truth of being is harmonious and the reality is harmony. There is no reality in discord, sickness, or death; they are illusions, error, the belief of falsehoods that vanish when the truth is realized.
Fear is from ignorance and from false beliefs and false statements, or the absence of Truth and understanding. Its influence is as certain and positive on mortal mind, or materiality, even though not realized, as when one is groping alone in absolute darkness in a very strange place. Thus fear insensible and sensible must have its antidote in Truth and understanding to save materiality from the sufferings of discord and inharmony, from sickness, sin and death. Mary Baker Eddy (Carpenter, Gilbert, Essays On Christian Science, p.76)
METAPHYSICAL HEALING – 2
Life is not in the mortal body, nor is it in anything mortal; it is independent of, above and around all things that seem to have life, and any life they have is through the influence of Soul, intelligence, Spirit, Life. Life is everlasting. It does not lead to death, for there is no death in reality, and Life cannot be destroyed. Error (or a belief in mortal mind of good and evil) only leads to suffering, sickness and death. Error, belief of mortal mind, of counterfeit mind, makes all of its own diseases and sufferings. Neither it nor they have any real existence, no more than the supposed fact communicated by a falsehood, and they should disappear when the Truth is uttered and its proofs presented as readily in one case as the other. Mary Baker Eddy (Carpenter, Gilbert, Essays On Christian Science, p.75-76)
METAPHYSICAL HEALING – 1
God is Principle, Soul, Spirit, Life. There is no other life or intelligence. No discord or inharmony exists therein, thereby, or emanates therefrom. Immortal man is the offspring of God, Soul, of immortality, and not of mortality nor mortal man. He is spiritual; and the image or likeness of God. Nothing is true or real but God and His idea, which is shadowed forth in the eternal existence, or spirituality, of all existence, of all God’s creation. Mortal things are but the semblance of the true idea of God and, therefore, nothing in themselves. God, Spirit, Soul, cannot suffer. Mortal body or matter cannot suffer or make its own conditions, nor cause pain in Spirit or Soul. Mary Baker Eddy (Carpenter, Gilbert, Essays On Christian Science, p.75

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE THANKS – 2
It signifies that the Science of Christianity has dawned upon human thought to appear full-orbed in millennial glory; that scientific religion and scientific therapeutics are improving the morals and increasing the longevity of mankind, are mitigating and destroying sin, disease, and death; that religion and materia medica should be no longer tyrannical and proscriptive; that divine Love, impartial and universal, as understood in divine Science, forms the coincidence of the human and divine, which fulfils the saying of our great Master, “The kingdom of God is within you;” that the atmosphere of the human mind, when cleansed of self and permeated with divine Love, will reflect this purified subjective state in clearer skies, less thunderbolts, tornadoes, and extremes of heat and cold; that agriculture, manufacture, commerce, and wealth should be governed by honesty, industry, and justice, reaching out to all classes and peoples. For these signs of the times we thank our Father-Mother God. (Eddy, Mary Baker, The First Church Of Christ, Scientist and Miscellany, p. 265:14-32)

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE THANKS – 1
On the threshold of the twentieth century, will you please send through the Globe to the people of New England, which is the birthplace of Thanksgiving Day, a sentiment on what the last Thanksgiving Day of the nineteenth century should signify to all mankind?
Mrs. Eddy’s Response
New England’s last Thanksgiving Day of this century signifies to the minds of men the Bible better understood and Truth and Love made more practical; the First Commandment of the Decalogue more imperative, and “Love thy neighbor as thyself” more possible and pleasurable.
It signifies that love, unselfed, knocks more loudly than ever before at the heart of humanity and that it finds admittance; that revelation, spiritual voice and vision, are less subordinate to material sight and sound and more apparent to reason; that evil flourishes less, invests less in trusts, loses capital, and is bought at par value; that the Christ-spirit will cleanse the earth of human gore; that civilization, peace between nations, and the brotherhood of man should be established, and justice plead not vainly in behalf of the sacred rights of individuals, peoples, and nations. (Eddy, Mary Baker, The First Church Of Christ, Scientist and Miscellany, p. 264:7-265:13)
THANKSGIVING DAY, 1904
Beloved Students: – May this, your first Thanksgiving Day, according to time-tables, in our new church edifice, be one acceptable in His sight, and full of love, peace, and good will for yourselves, your flock, and the race. Give to all the dear ones my love, and my prayer for their health, happiness, and holiness this and every day. (Eddy, Mary Baker, The First Church Of Christ, Scientist and Miscellany, p.167:14-21)
