“What new step are you to take for the New Year?”  A member of the household replied, “A step higher in spirituality.”  “Yes, a step out of sense,” she approved, “a step into actions, not words.  When I was a girl, I would sometimes hear someone sing and sing a song over until I wearied of it.  So I weary of words without deeds.  Can you think right and do wrong?  Can you think wrong and do right?  No. Once a little boy in school was whipped for whistling.  Said he, “I didn’t whistle, it whistled itself.’  So if you think wrong, the wrong will come out, but if you think right, the right will externalize itself.”  Mary Baker Eddy    (Tomlinson, Irving C., Twelve Years With Mary Baker Eddy, p.92-93)
